Data choices
Control the small signals around your visit.
This page explains practical ways to manage cookies, analytics and affiliate tracking when reading Car Care File.

Browser controls
Your browser is the main place to control cookies, storage and tracking protection. You can block or delete cookies, limit cross-site tracking, use private browsing modes, clear site data and adjust permissions for images, scripts or embedded content. Browser choices may affect analytics, affiliate attribution and some WordPress functions, but normal reading should generally continue.
Different browsers use different names for these settings. Look for privacy, cookies, site data, tracking protection or permissions in the browser settings. If you use more than one device, repeat the settings on each device.
What choices affect on this site
Analytics
Blocking analytics can reduce the traffic and performance signals we use to improve pages.
Affiliate attribution
Blocking affiliate cookies may stop a retailer or network from attributing a sale to Car Care File.
Security logs
Some technical logs may still be created by servers or security tools to protect the site.
Embedded content
External videos, maps or retailer embeds may follow their own data rules if used on a page.

Privacy requests
If you have sent personal information directly by email and want to ask about access, correction or deletion, contact support@carcarefile.com. Include enough information for us to locate the message, but do not send sensitive account credentials or payment information.
For the broader policy, read the Privacy Policy. For commercial link disclosure, read the Affiliate Disclosure. If you notice a privacy link that is hard to read or a page where a contact address has low contrast, include the URL in the message so the visual issue can be fixed.
Affiliate tracking choices
Affiliate tracking is usually handled by the retailer or affiliate network after you click a link. If your browser blocks tracking cookies or strips tracking parameters, a purchase may not be attributed to Car Care File. That choice is yours. The editorial content remains available whether or not attribution works.
Some privacy tools also rewrite links, block scripts or prevent embedded content from loading. If a page looks broken after strict blocking, you can either keep the blocker active and read the text, or allow the specific feature you want to use. We do not require readers to lower privacy settings just to read a buying guide.
Reader-first default
The site should remain readable without forcing a reader into an account, newsletter or tracking consent wall. Some third-party functions may depend on cookies, but the core editorial pages are published as normal web pages. If a privacy tool blocks a feature, the page should still explain the topic in text.
Contact about choices
If a privacy, cookie or tracking explanation is unclear, send the page URL to the support address. A data-choice page is only useful if a normal reader can understand it without decoding advertising technology.
