These terms explain how to use Car Care File content, what the site does not promise, and how affiliate and external links should be understood.
Editorial content and no professional advice
Car Care File publishes editorial buying guides, product-category explainers, maintenance product notes and car care basics for general information. The content is not professional mechanical, legal, financial, insurance or safety advice. A page can help you understand product features and tradeoffs, but it cannot inspect your vehicle, diagnose a fault or replace the owner manual.
Vehicle condition, trim, paint finish, wheel finish, battery type, local climate, laws and driver needs vary. Before using a product, read the current label, instructions, warnings and compatibility notes. If a product may affect road safety, electrical systems, visibility, tires, braking, steering or vehicle warranty, use qualified help when needed.
Accuracy and updates
We try to keep content clear and useful, but product specifications, labels, prices, availability, retailer policies and affiliate relationships can change. Older articles may be updated, redirected or corrected. We do not guarantee that every link, image, product listing or detail will remain current at the time you read it.
If you find a factual issue, broken image, unreadable text, missing disclosure or outdated safety note, email support@carcarefile.com with the page URL and the issue. We prioritise corrections that affect safety, compatibility, privacy and disclosure.
Affiliate and external links
Some links may be affiliate links. Car Care File may earn commission if you click and buy through those links. External sites are controlled by their owners, not by Car Care File. Their prices, claims, availability, privacy practices, warranties, shipping terms and return policies may differ from what you expect.
Before buying, check the retailer page and product label directly. We are not responsible for purchases, shipping delays, product defects, warranties, installation, returns, support or disputes with third-party retailers or manufacturers.
Permitted use and intellectual property
You may read, quote short excerpts and link to Car Care File pages for normal personal, editorial or reference use. You may not scrape, copy, republish, sell, frame or mass-distribute the site content, images, design, logo or article structure without permission. Automated extraction that burdens the site or recreates the publication is not permitted.
Brand names, product names and external logos belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a product category or company does not imply endorsement by that company.

Reader responsibility
You are responsible for checking whether a product is suitable for your vehicle, climate, local laws and skill level. A guide can describe common tradeoffs, but it cannot know whether your paint has been resprayed, whether your battery is failing, whether your wheel finish is sensitive, or whether your electrical system has an underlying fault. Stop using a product if the label warning, smell, heat, smoke, residue, dashboard warning or driving behaviour suggests something is wrong.
Do not use site content to bypass safety checks, repair advice, product warnings or recall notices. Do not use a maintenance product to make a vehicle appear safe for sale if it needs repair. If a page seems to conflict with the current product label, manufacturer instruction or owner manual, use the more specific and current source.
Availability and access
We may change, remove, redirect or reorganise pages when the site map changes or when a page needs replacement. We may also block abusive traffic, spam, scraping or attempts to interfere with the WordPress installation. Normal linking to public pages is allowed; automated copying or use that harms the site is not.
